Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel or at JKI Airport upon arrival early morning. And begin with the combined Kenya Tanzania Safari briefing. After depart for the Samburu game reserve. This is a 5 hours scenic drive around Mt. Kenya and through the equator crossing. Later to arrive at Samburu in time for lunch and check in. A game drive during the afternoon in the Samburu Game Reserve in search for the Big five except the Rhino. Other unique wildlife species found include Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich not found any where else. Later to return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

Another day in Samburu Game Reserve. Your driver will plan your days with you, which can be as active or as leisurely as you wish. You may decide to spend the whole day in the reserve with picnic lunches or enjoy a morning game drive and return to the camp for a leisurely lunch and time to relax before going out game viewing again in the cooler hours of the afternoon. Evening return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park

After a hearty breakfast you will drive to Lake Nakuru national Park. The journey will take you through the vast landscape and nature of Kenya as you drive down the escarpment via Narok to Lake Nakuru National Park. On arrival at your lodge, you will be warmly welcomed with a fresh glass of juice and have lunch. After a delicious lunch head for an introductory evening game drive to before your dinner. 

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

Wake up early in the morning have breakfast. At around 9:30 AM head to the park for a 3 hours game-drive. This Park is renowned for its flamingo-filled shores and is a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. Enjoy a game drive and keep your camera ready for those amazing wildlife shots. At 11:30 am head over to the Masai Mara with enroute lunch at Narok town and continue to the Mara arriving early evening to your lodge for dinner and relaxation

Day 5 & 6: Full Day in Masai Mara

Today, you have a full day to explore the Masai Mara. After an early breakfast, head out for a thrilling full-day game drive. This allows you to maximize your wildlife sightings and photography opportunities. The Mara is known for its large numbers of big cats – lions, cheetahs, and leopards, plus jackals, hyenas, and more. Providing sustenance for these awesome predators are the uncountable grazers that fill the park’s fields and forests. Those numbers rise significantly during the season of the Great Migration from July – October. We will enjoy a picnic lunch down at the Mara River, site of the migration’s wildlife crossing into the park. Here the thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelle will try to evade the waiting crocodiles and make it to the opposite shore. An unbelievable spectacle. As the sun sets, savor a sundowner while taking in the breathtaking African sunset. Return to your camp for dinner.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Serengeti National Reserve

After the early morning breakfast at your camp/lodge, check out, then depart from the Mara with picnic lunch box. The drive to Isebania Kenya Tanzania border, which is a 3 hours scenic journey. Concurrently, going through the migration, processing of Visa and change of vehicle including the driver/guide occurs seamlessly. After proceed to the Serengeti, Tanzania. Again, this is a 3 hours scenic drive to your Lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 & 9: Full day Serengeti National Reserve

Just like at the Masai Mara, the day is yours to explore as much as you please. The Serengeti is alive with its own world of wildlife – besides the big cats, we’ll be tracking for elephant, rhino, giraffe, eland, gazelle, klipspringer, warthog, monkey, impala, honey badger, African wild dog, hippos, and more. During the year, you’ll witness different aspects of the wildebeest migration in the park. From June through October, you’ll spot the immense hordes of grazers herding off to the Masai Mara, searching for taller grasses and water.December to March is the calving season when you’ll witness incredible numbers of wildebeest, zebra, and others giving birth in the Serengeti region of Ndutu. The wildlife, both predators and grazers are always present in massive displays in this amazing park. We’ll spend our second evening at our Serengeti accommodation

Day 10: Serengeti Game Reserve – Ngorongoro Crater- Lake Manyara

We’ll take our breakfast and drive through the grand Serengeti and turn toward another signature African destination, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its world-famous crater. Hang tight as our 4 x 4 Jeep descends the steep crater walls into a colorful realm holding every manner of wildlife – a dense self-contained region of lions, buffalo, elephant, baboon, hippos… even pink flamingoes. Toward, afternoon we’ll depart for Lake manyara National Park arrive late evening. We’ll enjoy dinner and talk tales of our busy day at our lake Manyara accommodation.

Day 11: Lake Manyara National Park – Tarangire National Park

We’ll take our breakfast have an early morning breakfast and a half day game drive through Lake Manyara National Park. This exceptional lake is home to over 300 migratory birds which include huge flocks of greater and lesser flamingoes, pelicans, storks and other water birds. After game drive excursions proceed to Tarangire National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch check in to your lodge/camp and proceed for an evening game drive and later return to your lodge/hotel for dinner.

Day 12: Tarangire National Park – Namanga - Amboseli National Park

After breakfast depart for Amboseli National Park through Namanga border crossing and be handed over to our Kenyan guide/driver who will complete this leg of your trip. You will have lunch then proceed to Amboseli, where you will begin to see the outline of the awe-inspiring Mount Kilimanjaro appear as your get close. You will have a chance to have a brief introduction to the wildlife of Amboseli as you head to your Lodge/Camp. You will dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.

Day 13: Amboseli to Nairobi JKIA (Departure)

The Final day of your African Safari starts with an early morning pre-breakfast game viewing drive. This early morning game viewing drive will give you chance to view snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. After morning expedition return to your camp/Lodge for breakfast and check-out. Depart for Nairobi as you enjoy the last game viewing drive as you exit the park. Arrive Nairobi early in the afternoon. Drop off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, ending your incredible 13-day Kenya and Tanzania Safari
